The Role
Lark is seeking an experienced and exceptional marketing leader who can scale Lark to the next level.  You will be responsible for the management, development, and technical roadmap of our Paid Social campaigns, and build a team of data scientists and analysts to achieve these goals, working closely with our growth team. You are a data scientist with vast experience across multiple digital marketing ecosystems. This is a unique opportunity to build a highly-automated world-class Growth Marketing data science program. This role reports to the Vice President of Data Science and Analytics.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Build a world class data science and analytics team for performance marketing
  • Manage bidding strategies for paid social campaigns across Facebook, Google SEM, Taboola and other social channels.
  • Drive substantial gains in growth, conversion rates, customer engagement, and ROI by delivering sharp insights and recommendations
  • Partner with channel managers to measure the effectiveness of customer acquisition and engagement campaigns
  • Develop analysis, reports, and recommendations to deliver continuous improvement in performance and identify new opportunities
  • Serve as the leader of the testing and experiments team, build a testing roadmap that spans our multiple touch points, steer rigorous implementation, and analyze results
  • Propose, socialize, and implement data and systems improvements that enable improved cross-channel coordination, targeting, ROI measurement, segmentation, and personalization
  • Develop innovative reporting and dashboards that make it easy to understand campaign performance at a glance, and be the owner of those metrics as they vary along key customer segments
What You’ll Need
  • Expert level experience with major online marketing auction algorithms, such as Facebook Ads ecosystem, Google Adwords bidding, email service providers, testing tools, and BI platforms
  • You are highly inquisitive and unafraid to ask questions and offer your opinions
  • Excellent analytical and data science skills (Python, SQL, Databricks) with multivariate testing experience
  • You have worked for successful companies at different stages of the business lifecycle and understand how to create robust, practical processes and systems to drive sustainable growth at scale
  • Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies
  • Understanding of both pixel and mobile app measurement and tracking
  • Deftness at navigating an organization and forming strong partnerships with multiple cross-functional teams
  • You live and breathe scalability, relentlessly prioritize and cringe at the mention of ‘low hanging fruit’ and ‘easy wins’
  • Proven experience in building strong data science and analytics teams
  • Familiarity and experience with modern data reporting/management tools, e.g.: Looker, Mode, Periscope, Tableau, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field, PhD preferred
  • 10+ years post graduation experience in data science and analytic roles, including at least 5 years in paid marketing optimization role for a consumer-focused business
Working at Lark 
Lark offers the option to work remotely in the United States.  For Colorado Applicants only: minimum annual salary is $167,000 (minimum salary varies for other geographies). You may also be offered a bonus, stock options and/or benefits.  The company is headquartered in Mountain View, CA.
